Like a moron, I left my vest laying on the ground near the Wixom road bridge.

If anyone picked it up, I would appreciate it's return.

I can identify the contents.

Please PM or e-mail me if you have any info.

I just heard that you lost all of your flies. Sorry bro'.

What kind of flies are you looking to replace first? Dry's, streamers, nymphs....?? I have a ton around here and would be happy to see what I can throw together to help get you back on track.

I saw on another site that someone posted that they saw your vest while the DNR was down there checking licenses. It's a long shot but check with the DNR and the park offices to see if they found it.

That stinks. I hope you recover it. Loosing those flies would be devastating.

I'm sorry to hear about your vest, My son had his vest stolen while fishing on the Little Manistee recently. He had taken it off while helping me land a big fish and in the excitement forgot to put it back on. We went back to camp for 5 minutes and it was gone when we returned. The vest wasn't all that valuable but all of the contents and flies were worth a lot. I know he was pretty crushed when he realized that all of his flies we'd tied over the winter were gone. I hope you get your vest back, i'd definately check out the ranger station. Good Luck!

Thanks for the replies fellas!

I called the Park Office the next morning, as soon as they opened. I'll try again tomorrow.

It's not the end of the world, but a costly mistake, not the first or last! LOL

Thanks for the offer Pat, I lost everything. I wouldn't turn down anything at this point, but, I'm not desperate, I've got a lot of other ways to catch fish, and not much time on my hands for tying or fishing. :bonk:

Hey John,
Sucks to loose your fishing vest doesn't it? I lost mine back in Dec with my late grandpa's tackle box in it with ALL my salmon and steelhead gear in it. Hopes your find it's way into a true anglers hand who returns yours. Unfo. mine didn't and I haven't seen it since:( Were moving out this weekend and hopefully the RA's will find it in someone room that just didn't like me or something. :banghead3

Just think though, yourget to reload all your stuff and all that stuff you kept saying why do I have is in my vest is gone now:bonk: Unfo. most fishing stuff is prized to us.

P.S. Mark your tackle boxes next time with your name in them. You never know when you might loose it again or you bend over to grab a fish and a fly box falls out.
