Fill out your profiles!!

I like learning more about people on this site but there are alot of you that don't have anything filled out in your profile! So when you get some time don't be :chicken: fill it out!! :bouncy:

I second that, when it comes to the sell board I don't even bother to ask if they don't have a location when I want some thing they have, it might be the U-P for all I know and don't respond unless they have a general location like a town so I can see that it would be practical to buy it and pick it up. I have bought about 6 things on the board but none were from the adds that had no location shown in the profile, I didn't bother asking where they were located

i agree with all of that also. having nothing in your profile makes it hard to figure out posts that aren't very specific. like when someone asks, anybody doing any good for walleye? well, i'm not gonna waste his or my time talking about Lake St. Clair area when the guy lives near traverse city, ya know?

steve ypsi makes another good point on the for sale threads. buying a 50 dollar item doesn't make much sense when you have to spend 25 bucks on gas getting there and back. having your location at least gives the potential buyer a quick check as to see if it is doable.

Everyone is making some strong arguements for filling out profiles.

One GREAT benefit is if I notice you are in the general area, I'll send you a personal invitation to a Meet-N-Greet !

OK, maybe that's not such a good inducement.....but I have had several members show up after recieving a personal invite... :D

And it makes it easy to get invited out for hunting/fishing when members realize you are in their area...
