Does anyone have information on a material to use to repair cracks in the dashboards of boats. Mine is a '98 Fisher Sport Avenger and it developed a crack on the driver's and passenger side dash. Only 1 dealer for Fisher in MI, Norm's in Twin Lake (where ever that is). I called there and am awaiting a call back from them as I type. Any help would be appreciated.

I think Twin Lake is just North of Muskegon somewhere. I think that's where Mark Martin lives.....

As far as the dash.....How about that stuff you see on the infomercials to repair leather tears?

Plus, if you want it done this weekend, you can "just add $5.99 for Rush Delivery".... Sorry, No C.O.D. :D

I thought about the infomercial thing but I would prefer to have it color matched exactly. That's why I'm trying for a Fisher dealer solution. Thanks for trying to help Capt.

Twin Lake is 10 minutes NW of Muskegon on M120.

You didn't say if they were stress cracks or cracks caused by sun drying out the plastic,if the latter replacement with UV stable vinyl is your best bet and keep it ArmorAll 'ed or equiv. If they are stress cracks you can fix them but will prolly come back anyway.

I would be chasing down the manufacture of the dash for a free replacement. This is a 98 right?
I would think the dealer would work with you on this to get a new one installed that is perfect.
If you buy new, then expect nothing less than perfect, if buying used than you are at the mercy of the dealership.

Good luck
