Mounting kicker from swim platform

Anybody suggest any brands for a kicker motor mount on a swim platform? I've seen the simple 90degree one on Cabella's site. But I like the Garelick with the lowering capability. But they all seem to make the transom mount version. I'd like to keep the motor as low as possible to fight cavitation. Will I have to have somebody make a custom bracket and then add the lowering mount? I have an I/O drive and was going to use a connecting rod for steering. Any lessons learned? Will the lowering mount put the kicker to far back?:confused:

Im In The Same Situation, I Am Going To Fab My Own Up.......Work At A Company That Dose Alot Of Fab Work.. Since I Work In The Office Doing Cad I Figure I Will Draw It Up And Then Buy The Shop Forman A Case Of His Favorite Pop For His Time To Build It.

I Wanna Make It Out Of Aluminum But I Think Im Going To Make It Out Of Steel And Then Have It Powder Coated.
