I went too a few palces looking for Bearing Buddies to replace one. But I could only find foreign models that didn't have the size in inches but metric. I need 1 and 15/16 or model 1980 bearing buddies. I saw two different metric sizes. I believe one was 1.980 can't remember the other. What's a guy to do? Or where can you still get bering buddies?

Model 1980 is 1.980. Very common size.

If you're still having trouble, try Ajax trailer, on 9 mile near Dequindre in Madison Heights I think. I'm pretty sure they still have stuff in stock from WW2. Next best bet I can think of is Joes trailer in St Clair Shores. 10 mile, or 11 & Harper. Thats where I got my last set, for an old 1974 trailer I ended up giving away. The size wasn't perfect, but within 1/2 mil I think, a little grease, and some gentle turning with the pipe wrench, and they worked perfect for the 5 or 6 years I owned it. But that was on a $10 trailer. I wouldn't try that if your trailer is worth more than 10 bucks.
P.S......It's almost imperative that you take your old buddies with you, or you just get a lot of confused, funny looks from the counter guy.

Parson,

here's a link to Bearing Buddies web site. The link is to the "How to choose the correct size" page. But once there, you can click on the "Home" link and click the link for "Where to buy" or "Buy direct".

Good luck !
