Monday 4/12 Forums upgrade

I will quite possibly get to doing the upgrade of the forums this coming Monday 4/12. We will most likely experience some significant downtime to make sure it is done right.

I'm not looking forward to the downtime. But I am looking forward to the upgrade. I liked it when we used it for a short time a few months ago.

I'm glad I have to work tomorrow so that I won't miss the down time. I will have to find somewhere else to go on the net during lunch.

Good timing. I'm off to Washington, D.C. The upgrade can be done while I'm gone and I have something to look forward to when I get back.

I still hope to get to it tomorrow. Hopefully it will go ok but there will be more down time for this upgrade as I hope to do it right.

Well it looks as though we are going to need to upgrade both our PhotoPost and ReviewPost programs once again before we can upgrade our forums. Hopefully I can get it all done tommorrow.

I am updating PhotoPost right now. I expect that the forums will be taken down at 5pm for the upgrade. When they will be back up unknown at this time.

There's going to be a short delay on the upgrade. It is now slated for 7-8 pm tonight.

I love the PM features! The little gauge showing how much room you have is really helpful :D

This really has a "gnome" feel to it. (Not that I've spent much time with it, but the look and feel sure reminds of the gnome desktop in Linux.)

I've tweaked the colors and taken much of the color scheme from the first attempted upgrade. I'm not 100% happy with the colors yet so stay tuned. More smileys to come.
