I ran accross about 6 gallons of blue plasticote in my basement left over from when I was storing some stuff for someone about 8 years ago. Anyway has anyone ever used this on the bottom, or on the inside, of an aluminum row boat. You've all seen it, it's the stuff they use to coat hand tools with. If you've ever seen pliers or cutters with the blue plastic/rubber handles you'll know what I'm talking about. I coated a cresent wrench and a pair of cutter last night and it worked great. I'm surprised it hasn't separated over all these years. How well do you think it would work on the bottom of a boat? I was given this boat (flat bottom) and it's beat to hell on the bottom. Given the price I can afford to spend a little time on it.

I don't know about the bottom of a boat, but you could coat alot of rigger balls with that much, plus a blue rigger ball is always good for atleast one good joke on a slow day...

What's a rigger ball?

FYI - the plasticote seems to have sealed it up pretty good. I've yet to test it, so the proof will be whether it leaks or not.

I would say it would not work on a bottom of a boat the water would just tear it right off.It is not that stong to stay on the boat.
