Hey Guys

Cotton Road Kid here! I don't know for sure but I would bet the perch are running 200 yards off of Au Vase Creek.

The General has had the better of me building cars this week but there have been some local guys hanging off of Au Vase Creek for the last couple days. Sure looks like a perch run to me.

Got to head north and repair my cabin this weekend, second year in a row that a bear broke out the windows.

I'll test the waters Monday and report back then.

I covered that area pretty good today. There was only one other boat out there with me, a white bass fishing style boat. I'm not sure how he was doing, but he stayed in one spot from 9am 'til noon, when I left. I found some of the warmest water so far on that part of the lake, which is basically straight out from Cotton Rd, in 5 to 6 FOW. Water temp was 46 to 47. My fishfinder was totally lit up within that whole area. I didn't catch anything, used only minnows for bait. It may have been an "off bite" kind of morning, I got hammered by the thunderstorm that rolled through about noon.

Hey Guys, Thanks for letting me know how the fish were or were not biting. I get up at 8:00a.m. and look out the window and see boats in the same spot 4 days in a row I know something is up.
Problem is when ya work from 10:00a.m to 10:00p.m. it's hard to get in weekday fishing time. Only 9 more years and I retire!!

Just got some info today that the Perch school that was hanging out off Au Vase creek moved up north about 1 mile, to the Salt River. I asked the guy how far out in the lake, and he said right in the mouth, not in the lake. This info is 1 day old and untested, until tomorrow afternoon perhaps.

It was a beautiful day for sure, today was decent too. Was you directly in the mouth of the the river though? 50 feet out into the lake, enjoying the sun and all, just may have put you a wee bit out of range. Hard to believe, but the last bit of info my Perch source gave me was that 90% of the Perch are in less than 5% of the Salt River Mouth. I figure he gave me just about enough info at that point, because then he clammed up. I'd give 'er one more try.
