I didn't do so hot last year over there. I only got up there twice and the second time I was there I got a call from to get to the hospital in Tenton. My Grandmother (Nana) past away that night and four days later my other grandmother past away so last year wasn't the greatest for me. I hope to get in a few trips this year and I know its alittle early but hey its for Walleyes and I don't have a boat and its one of the best places for us shore fisherman.

Please keep me posted and Thanks

I gave it a quick shot over there last Saturday night on my way home from PH. Only saw two other guys fishing in front of the golf course. Also fished the tugs. Caught nothing at either spot...I'm sure the cold front moving in didn't help!

Watch the lilacs when they start to bloom its time to hammer ;) Been going down there for 20+ yrs and i believe in this method ... We use to fish behind the old salt plant till the rich@#%$*&^%$ built them condos there  Now were limited to where we can fish. You can fish at lincoln park if you dont mind dealin with the wall huggers I believe they think they own the end of the walkway there if you have ever been there you know what im sayin other than that the golf course is the place GOOD LUCK ALL!!! "We use to fish behind the old salt plant till the rich@#%$*&^%$ built them condos there"
I got chuckle from that.
30 plus years ago I fished there with two other guys.
We rode our bicycles down there to fish.
We used floating Rapalas, black and silver.
Most nights we would have the whole shore to ourselves.
On a good night you could go home with a limit after 6 or 7 casts.

Now that the shore line is all built up, any idea what would happen if you anchored there, and casted from yer boat?

Hey guys the wife and I drove by there after dinner tonight and there were about 6 people behind the course and about 2 people fishing north of the ramp and about 6 boats out on the water.. I think there almost ready to get started, Cya Slick

Joe G.,
You can anchor there and cast from your boat. There's nothing they can do about that. If other boats are in the area whipping just remember they're lines are running straight back behind their boat. Try to leave a couple hundred feet between you and them. If you can't get a couple hundred behind them, then try to get a few feet on either side of where their lines are likely to be. Also, if someone anchors above you and starts whipping be careful pulling the anchor, there might be a lure or two in your anchor line.

Slick,
Judging from the lilacs, I'd be willing to bet Ernie & I'll have some fresh Walleye in the cooler next weekend......................Bob B.

I'll be out there next Saturday night but I'll more then likely be fishing the Canadian side. I expect it to be pretty crowded on our side in that area with everyone wanting to get out and fish.........................Bob B.

Bob I never had a doubt that you and Ernie will have some walleye in the boat next week, I have to fish the tournament next weekend and then I will pull the boat out the week of the 26.. How did you like Mikes's e-mail about us being the gardening guys, because everyone was talking about the lilacs :-).. Well Bob lets hope for good weather because there calling for rain so much of next week, but you know how the report can change by the time next weekend rolls around.. good luck Bob but I am sure I will be talking to you before then.. Slick,
I'm almost ready, spent a couple hours today getting the boat ready. I had to take everything out when I had it worked on. I'm trying to decide what I really don't need to put back in. So far I can't justify leaving anything out. It will all come in handy at some time, going by past experiences.
Good luck to you guys fishing the tourny this weekend........Bob B.

Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
