Sunday morning we had a gobbler calling back at about 200 yds. After a while of calling it became quiet. No response. After about 30 min. I heard something coming behind. Thinking the gobbler had come in silent and seen my decoys I didn't dare turn to see what it was. I was watching my decoys when all of a sudden a brown flash went by me at about 3 yds. The coyote hit one of my decoys in full stride, turn 90 degrees and went out of site. Has anyone had this happen to them before? No we didn't get that gobbler to come in but we had a good hunt anyway.

There was a report on radio of a turkey hunter attacked by a coyotte. The hunter was bitten and had to have rabbie shots. Didn't hear what state but was not Mi.

This happened to my dad last fall. HE had a couple dekes outa nd a coyote came running in and stopped about 20 yds away, circled downwind and bolted. Seems like turkeys might make great coyote dekes.

I had a red fox sneaking up on my decoy last fall. It got within about 10' of it. When it got to the point where I had walked up to put the decoy in the ground it took off.

I was hunting turkeys up by Alpena when about 6 deer grazed their way toward my dekes. They suddenly looked to the direction they had come from when a nice tom appeared. The deer started to bound off with the tom right after them. He was about 60 yds out but I just couldn't believe that those deer were running from this turkey. I glanced back to see a coyote appear on a dead run chasing the turkey. The turkey just did get airborne with the coyote leaping at his tail feathers. That coyote was thinking about having turkey for dinner.
