as far as what it consists of: the shot has 20 turkey targets. sise by side. you will shoot at aprox. 30 yrds. there are 20 shooters each rnd. last year they had alot of people. so they had 20 seperate rounds of shooting. shots are $3.00 a shot. no limit on how many times you shoot. its a first come first serve. you waite in line for your chance to sign up. every one gets to shoot. if more people show up. they will just ad more rounds. the object is to get as many of your load in the kill zone which is the head area. there is a winner in every round. if no one hits the kill zone in that round. they move to the next round. so its best to buy as many rounds as you can. then the winner of each round wiil go on a championship finall round. on the finall round who ever wins that round. wins the tournament. there are door prizes and a grand prize. which has been a shot gun in the past. last year the prize was a 410 shot gun. this year I'm not sure what it will be. it varies from year to year. also, you supply your own gun. your $3.00 pays for one shot and one shell. thats why the more rounds you enter the better chance you have to win. also they let kids shoot. as long as they have a gaurdian w/ them. my 12 year old shoots in it. they like for dads to bring there kids. to get them involed in the outdoors.

So, do you not supply your own shells???

If everyone shoots "supplied" shells, that takes away any advantage that you may have gained by working-up a gun, load, choke combination that works for you.

Just curious the thought process behind this? It would depend more on luck than the right gun, load, choke combo.

Not that I'm competative or anything.........:D

Thanks!

no. it just makes it fair for evey one. that just leaves your guns accuracy and shooting skills to do the rest. its anot a national tournament or any thing. more or less a get together to donate money to the wildlife turkey federation. proceeds go to liability insurance and to help the turkeys. its more or less to help a cause.

Are the shells lead or hevishot?

Shot size?

Factory loads?

Which brand?

Do they have 10ga as well?

Just trying to decide what gun/choke combination to bring if I can make it up.

Thanks!
