what do you all think of these baits??
I think putting WD-40 into our waterways is irresponsible, and probably illegal.
The best cat baits, at least for the big ones, is live bait.

i didnt know that it said in the article that you should use it for an atractent we should look it up or ask the dnr about it though or some one
If the article said to use 5W30 instead of wd-40 would you still be wondering about intentionally putting oil in our waters? Do a search on WD-40, we had a loooooooong thread or two on this in the past.

Anything rolled in bacon fat works great (pork fat rules). I have tried peanut butter rolled stuff with good success.

The best bait I've found for flathead catfish are live bullheads 6-8" long. Pike sized suckers are a close second. For channel cats cut up sucker is hard to beat, also can work on flatheads. I don't know what county lake Fenton is in but if you go to the DNR homepage they have a fish stocking database that should say what type of catfish are in it.
