Well, it looks like they may tweak the Driver Responsibility act, to eliminate the fee for no proof of insurance. It is SB 1086, and it looks like it's in committee right now. If this bill passes, then as long as you provide proof (to the Secretary of State within 30 days) that you were insured at the time you were operating the vehicle.
