I use #20 Seagur, tourney time will be #25. Flouralcarbon(sp) line for sure, don't want to use the stuff that is smart enough to tie itself into a knot (mono). As you bring in a fish and lay the line on the floor, believe me it will tie itself in knots.......
I hate it when a fishing line can tie a better knot than I can...lol:eek:

20# Mason, tip up line
It's easy to hold when wet and lays nicely in the bottom of the boat.

20 to 25lb. cheap mono in the day. and lots of leads. and Cheap 30 lb line for night. 30 lb will tangle less. Some days I'll go with the 30 lb. line in the day, if I am working real slow like-- I would at this time of the year. I think it slows the action of your plug?. The only other pluss about mono is it has lots of stretch, Nice when you get a big double digit thumping on you line.
I would like to try that mason line, but I'm just to lazzzy to tie new leads, plus I'll flip them in the boat just about as well as most out there. Boat control is far more improtant than line.
