IN A THREAD ON HANDLINING I READ WHERE SOME DO WHIPPING AND PIGGY BACK THERE LURES. QUESTION, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? AND WHAT KIND OF LURES DOES ONE PIGGY BACK AND HOW. SURE LEARNING A LOT OVER THIS FORUM. NOW ALL I NEED IS TIME TO PUT INTO ACTION. :cool: THINK 60'S

Piggybacking is hooking a leader and lure to the back hook eyelete of another lure........not the actual hook eye but the eyelete the hook is hooked to .....if that makes sense. A 3-way swivel is a common set-up. The mainline goes to the 3-way and about a 24" leader to the sinker below. A 5 foot leader with a rapala then a 20 foot leader with a rapala hooked behind that. This is only one example and used mostly for set-pole fishing or whipping in the rivers. I use this set-up for whipping and its quite excellent.
