HI EVERYONE,
The name is Smiley, I am a begginer this year to icefishing and loved the short season very much. I love the sport but I do not eat fish of anykind...lol (sorry but true) I usually give my catch to anyone I am fishing with or donate it.
I also am a whitetale hunter and do my hunting near Gaylord
Other hobby's of mine are camping and family time, I have 4 kids and the 5th one is due on September the 12th(lord help me....lol).
Nothing is better to me than taking my children fishing or hunting to teach them about the great outdoors we have (of course only 1 at a time....lol can you imagine 4 or 5 lines tanged at once:eek: )
I am also hoping to meet yall one day and have a brew or 6..lol:D
thanks again for the great site see ya!

Hmmm! The Smilin' Shadow?
Welcome aboard this superb party barge. You comments about taking kids hunting and fishing certainly are true.
Welcome Smiley. Keep an eye on the outings forum, we have somewhat regular get togethers in the area.:)

LOL TANGLEKNOT,
I tried taking them all once many times and to much dismay it doesnt matter how far apart I put them they alway get tangled or snagged or something and eventually the 4 kids are all waiting at the same time for dad to fix it...lol and then there is no lines in the water....lmao and I usually shed out 10 pounds on a fishing trip with all 4 due to running up and down the shore:D
2 years ago I took my oldest daughter hunting(deer) she was 8 at the time and it was her first time and after carefully explaing how to be quiet and if she saw a deer to be extra quiet and tap me on the arm and point........lmao so a small buck about 4pt walks in about 30 yards away I saw him coming and was waiting to get a perfect shot well low and behold my daughter jumps straight up knocking her over her bucket yelling look daddy a deer adeer shoot it shoot it.. now of course the deer was long gone and I dont think I ever laughed so hard in my life.
It was truely a great experiance and great to see that kids get buckfever just like there ol man does:D

Hello, my name is Dave. Love to fish, but no hunting. Used to , but just a matter of priorities. I am retired(9yrs), and live near Croton damn. Iv'e got a lot to learn about eyes here, so if anyone can point me in the general direction for Croton/Hardy??? Just moved here less than 1yr ago. Wife had a stroke, and I have been limited in my "boatime". I (nearly every day) check out things on the river. This is a great board and I look forward to new friends.
