Just made a trip down to the river this AM. Did not really need to go cuz I knew what I was going to see. She is rippin pretty good. Had my rod but no use trying when it is like this. Sure hope it calms down for the gig this week end. Has anyone done anything prior to this new run off?Dream Catcher
Don't let that dirty water put you off too much. If those fish quit feeding every time that river was dirty, they would all die of starvation. Brightly colored jig and minnow combination can save the day. The fish will often be a lot shallower than you would think in the dirty water too, it gives them a sense of security.

yeah she's blown out pretty good last 2 days :( :(
Nobody up my way is doing too much at all, good news is you could get a boat in at upper end of mott and go upriver to fish if you wanted to. There is a house that sits right next to the flint river / M-15 bridge and the water is only about 10ft from flooding the house....water water everywhere.

Forget the Flint River untill it goes back in it's bank. Cold Muddy water is the worse conditions to catch fish in that I know of.

Not really worried about the color of the water but the speed. I dont think a 1 oz jig would even do anything!! Will take a trip AM tomorrow but I think it will take a few days for the river to settle down. Just a note. Went to the steelheaders show today. Had not been in a while but there sure were alot of people. Will post tomorrow. Dream Catcher. PS DONT GO IN THE WATER--YET!!
