Just alittle about my self. I'm a 25 year old surveyor from Northern Michigan. Love to do anything that involves the outdoors. In the spring I spend most of my time @ Tippy Dam chasing those SILVER BULLET (steelhead), or out in the woods looking for mushrooms. I have the greatest job in the world. Surveying, who could ask for anything better, outdoors every day. Dam I pitty them guys that work indoors.
My summer months consist of fastpitch softball and getting ready for Bow season. Then when fall comes, I become one with the woods!! I am a whitetail fanatic. This past fall Myself and 5 other guys leased some land in southern Il. for bowhunting what an experence. Talk about some massive bucks, if you get a chance to hunt Il. don't pass it up.
By the time winter rolls around I only work four days a week. So I spend most of my time on Higgins Lake dunking minnows for lake trout. Also do a little coyote huntin when the wife lets me. And the rest of my days I sit home and watch THE OUTDOORS CHANNEL!
FISH ON, GOTTA GO

Welcome aboard Jon!!!
Jon's been a very good friend and fishing buddy of mine for a long time now and I'm sure his experience will be a great asset to many here. Just don't let him video tape a hunt for you, he's bad luck!!!
Now let's all make fun of him..... He's getting married soon!!!!:D

Welcome to Michigan-Sportsman.com Jon.
It's always great to see new guys n' gals come in. As you can see, I'm west of you in Manistee County. I keep telling myself that I need to get over and fish the Clam and Middle Branch Rivers near you.
Visit this site often and share with us what you do. We'll all learn from each other.
By the way, I have a better job. I'm retired (teacher)..........LOL!
Welcome John. Tough job, being forced to walk through the woods all day.;) :D

Welcome aboard John, I love The Outdoors Channel as well. Sometimes I can watch that channel for hours, and I have to pry myself away from the TV in order to do a couple things around the ol' apartment and/or get ready for work. :D

Hi Jon, it was good to meet and fish with you on Saturday at the Zoo outing. We'll have to hook up with Mitch again this summer for some big water action, maybe out of Muskegon.
You got my interest piqued on mushroom hunting. I may have to take a hike into the woods come May...
