Hello,

Years back we used to catch a heck of a lot of walleyes (was catch and release only - ~april I believe) wading and casting jigs and twister tails at the base of the dam. Wondered if anybody does this anymore and if/when do these fish get back to that point? If I remember right, after awhile it was even illegal to fish, catch and release regardless. Since then I forgot the timing, etc. but am getting back into it w/my young son and need to be "brought back up to speed";) Thx for any advice!

usually hit it a couple times a year. Though the season closes on the 15 then they have guidelines on what baits and rigs you can use, so read your fishing guide carefully. We usually catch alot of fish there, although you'll have a hard time catching one of size. Good luck and have fun.

Not many fish there now.....but hey at least the crowd isn't bad :) once march 15th gets here let's let the walleye spawn in peace :D
