anything outdoors! My mom always said I was her "wild child". I am the only person in my family who hunts or fishes.
I Turned 40 this year (no budster,it doesn't hurt!). I am a single mom with a wonderful 12 year old boy. I also have 2 older bassetts. Oh yeah, and I teach economics.

I've been on this site for a long time (anyone remember ag2053?). I've only had time for a few outings but had a great time, so if you ever get the chance to go, do so!!!!

I love to fish, hunt with bow and gun, camp and hike and bike. I'm not good or experienced at any of those things, it's still fun.

My next great adventure is hiking part of the Maryland section of the AT in April. So far I have had 3 hiking partners cancel out...I'm still hoping. Any takers?

Don't sweet the small stuff about turning "40". Life only gets more "interesting' at that point. You'll actually get to see if you learned anything from the previous 39 years of your life on this fine planet.......LOL!

Yeah I know Whit,

I just felt like I'd be much further ahead at this point in my life than I feel I really am. But I got the chance to stay home and be a father to my son. I could have stuck him in daycare and worked the whole time. Sure, I may have had a few more bucks in the bank but overall the time I got to spend with my son is MUCH more valuable than that. We were just extremely fortunate that I was able to cut back to the part time work I've been doing the past few years and still be able to make it. It's starting to get a little tight but my son is a little older now and I've got a bit more time to work. I'll get through it. Just not gonna be easy. ;)

Hello folks-

The alternative to turning 40 is much worse!
