I'm a veteran of the Viet Nam era, 1965 - 1979 but never got to Nam. I spent 6 years in Europe (Germany) and 3 years in Hawaii, and a couple years at Ft hood texas.

I love to hunt, like to fish, and mostly like shooting sports, for the outdoors.

I am a woodworking hobbyist for the indoors. I make some nice stuff but mostly I make sawdust.

I'm a 340lb whitehair, and hunting is a trial to me. I make noise, can't sit still, but offset that by being an excellent shot. The game won't come close cause they know I'm there. That usually doesn't keep me from reachin out and touchin one periodically.

Really, to me, there is way more enjoyment, and more sense of accomplishment to go to the range or the Trap field, and outdo my last trip there.

If I was only allowed one hobby I think it would be the woodworking though.

My wife Ruth is the best wife living and doesn't hassel me about any of my hobbies at all. She's more fun than hobbies anyway.

It's wonderful to find a life partner like that!

Thanks TK!

I just finished a Sewing Station for my wife's mom.

It is a two peice. One 36"W X 48" H X 11" deep, hangs on the wall and a 2 door chest of the same width and depth on wheels under it.

When you pull the chest out it becomes the forward edge support for the front door of the top peice. When that front door is open (opens top out, then swings down) and resting on the chest, it makes a 3' x4' work surface. I inlaid yardstick scales on two edges. A light on a hinge swings out over the middle of it. some adjustable shelves.

She likes it.

Right now I'm working on a 7 drawer chest-on-chest. about 3/4 done.

Welcome to the site. If you ever need some LSC advise, let me know. I'll gladly help you out if I can.

Sarge......I'm still following your advise on raising night crawlers. Works like a charm.

Howdy, Sarge-

You are one of the reasons this site is so special. Thanks for showing us such a good time at the range last year.

But you forgot to mention Ruth's pies! To die for!......:D
