Hi

As you can see from my user name my name is Steve Arend. I like to use my real name for (2) reasons

1: At outing it is easy to remember my user name.
2: I didn't want to hide behind a screen name when I post.

I'm 35 and have been married for 14 yrs. I have 3 children, Amanda is 10, Nathan (who initials are NRA by design) is 8, and then daddies little girl Jesicca who is 6.

I live in Southwest Mich. and work as a Mechanical Design Engineer for a Special Machine builder. I have tried all the Engineering fields but Chemical engineering.

My passion is Duck hunting, Deer hunting, and Turkey hunting, then I through fishing in between hunting seasons. My fish of chose is the elusive Walleye. I have been known to travel all over michigan to catch these fish.

I have been viewing this sight for fishing reports for more then 2 years and have been a member for just less then a year. I have been to 3 outing and my 4th one is going to be the K-zoo outing on 3/13/04. I have gotten to meet a lot of nice people form the site and plan on expanding my friendship list.

I forgot to mention all of my deer hunting is done Primitively. I use a black widow recurve bow and a cap lock Blackpowder rifle. I like to build Blackpowder guns. I'm also looking at building a 1887 navy 44 cal. Blackpowder revolver pictured as my avatar.

them black widow bows sure are nice and smooth..... anyways, nice to see you up and posting a bit Steve A. I met ya up on houghton this year if you don't remember.

I didn't draw a turkey tag this year (don't get me started again on that), but I'll get one of the "guarranteed" tags so I can still get out there, and if its a cool spring, might have decent enough action anyways.

You ever gonna be on this side of the state trying for some eyes? If so, send me a pm, as I'm gonna be chasin them guys all around out here, and we might be able to meet up or at least share some ideas.

How could I forget. Standing out on houghton watching all the flags fling. Adjusted3 past out ing the shanty. Had a great time. I still haven't caught up with my sleep.

We are looking at running over to Erie in Mid April and LSC in June and then I'm heading to Alaska at the end of July.

LOL, houghton was a good time chasin flags..... Erie and LSC eh? thats where I'll be also, with the occasional jaunt to the St. Clair river, and of course the detroit river.

Alaska....... MUST BE NICE!!!! LOL, i was stupid and turned down a job guiding up there, and now i'm kickin myself for not doing it, but soon I'll be up there also.
