just wondered if the fishing is good at the mouth of Q creek just down river from vets park by the zilwaukee bridge. I ice fished this winter a couple of times there along the channel and saw fish with aqua view but no takers that were legal. It seems like it would be a great spot. thanks to any info.

Griz - I have never fished that spot for Walleyes out of the boat, not to say it wouldn't be good. Would make sense that an Eye' or two would be pokeing thier nose in the current of the creek. The Saginaw will be rising rapidly with the run-off and rain - don't think it will be fishable buy the close :( . Have heard that they catch some nice Crappies around the RR Bridge area a little later in the Spring . Good luck - Bob.

Griz - You fishing from a boat ? The area just North of the Z bridge, is what is known as "Hawg Alley". Can be real good after the opener, if the fish haven't dumped back in to the Bay. Then it's a shallow trolling bite that can be Great, before they disperse into deeper water in the Bay. Bob WC#253.

Griz - The Flint is highly weather dependent in the Spring. Rain and run off don't help  . Depending on conditions, jiggs are hard to beat, day in - day out. 3/8 oz. being the norm. At times, shallow to medium running cranks; Shad Raps - Thunder Stiks rule. Festival People will be very helpful in telling You about access sites. Maybe will run into You - Good luck. Bob WC#253.
