made it out this afternoon with wild bill his son and suckerbass. we were hoping to hook into some huge pike, which have been reported to us by an undisclosed source to be frequenting the end of tip-ups. we did manage 4 pike or so and one was about 23 3/4" so close but not enough. we also hoped to get into some nice gill action for the afternoon, well instead we got into a school of crappie and the action was hot. bill landed the first one on a teardrop and waxie then proceeded to land 3 or 4 more in the same fashion. there were hittin both waxies and minnows and were on fire in 15 fow near a weed line, they really shut off towards dark but we didnt have time to track em for the evenin bite.
