upper hamlin report 2/28/04

four of us were out from daylight till dark fishing for pike and came home with ten ranging from 20 to 30 inches looked like the bluegill action was non existant ice is still 18 inches thick there was about four or five trucks driving on the ice down by the narrows sounds like they are doing pretty good for crappie after dark .

I'm about an hour north of Hamlin but I made the trip down earlier when the gills were hitting off Wilson Hill park. It was definitely worth the trip. If you hear about the fish being back in that area, please post here. I'd go back down in a heartbeat for that kind of action.
