Was wondering if anyone's been fishing Stoney Lake recently. I'm taking it that the ice is still good there, but wondering more of how the fishing's been. Was thinking of putzing around out there with the Slammers on Sunday for pike. Can anyone point me in the right direction?? .... PM's are fine too.;)

Matt I haven't fished it this year but the smaller lake above the upstream dam is always good for pike...near the weed edges about 20 yards from shore...

Matt I was running past the south dam friday and there was a guy right up near shore and he had a nice northern laying on the ice. I also seen him running after a tip-up. Hope this helps.

Ended up going this morning for awhile. Combined both tips and fished the north lake near the dam in 6-8 FOW - no hits and no misses. Ice was 13 1/2" thick (4 inch frozen slush layer on top of black ice) and SLICK. Definitely needed the Arctic Spurs today. Had a lull in the rain at about 12:30, so I picked up the Slammers and left.
