Here,s the dates of the Midwest Scolastic Rowing Championship Regatta with 40 high schools competeing: May 8th @ 9th. And there is another one for the Forth Annual Michigan High School @ Junior Rowing Championship Regatta with 12 high schools competeing on May 22 @ 23rd.
We know the problems we faced 2 years ago when they left the bouys on the lake for almost a month before they took them off. Last year they in my opinion were pretty good. My main concern this year is will they take them off the lake after the first one on the 9th and reinstall them before the one on the 22nd ??
I,ll try to find out the answer in the near future and who is installing the bouys . I do know they make money on these events and it is for the kids but don,t like the idea that on these days the lake is unfishable. And we are the ones that pay for that park with our taxes. I can put up with the days they compete but not after if they leave all thoes lines from the south dam to the north dam. And I,ll be curious how the weed problem will be this year. Last year it was terrible because they waited to long to kill off most of them. You couldn,t even fish past the beaches to the north dam. Time will tell.
