Me and my dad are finally after many years of talking about it either taking a fly in to Canada or Alaska. I was wondering what you guys/gals recomend? Any certain place? Looking for something reasonably priced. After looking through a few of them I have noticed that there is a big difference in price, Why is this? Any recomendations or suggestions would be greatly appriciated, thank you.

Its not a fly in spot but Lac Seoul in NW Ontario is arguably the best wallye fishery in the world. There are several lodges on the lake that provide american plan lodging and boats for rent just like you would find at a fly in lodge. The lake is 100 miles or so long so fishing pressure is light and the lake is an absolute wallye factory. IN-Fisherman highlights that lake quite often in their magazine. Lots of Ontario lakes provide numbers fishing for eyes but Lac Seuol is unique in its quality of fish. The growth rates are much higher then normal and a seperate slot limit is in place from 18-21 inches. Most fish fall into that range (as opposed to the 13-16 inch average common on many ontario lakes). Our group landed 7 wallyes over 27 inches in our 5 day trip and over 500 wallyes total. The lake is also phenomenal for pike. We took a 40 and a 37 incher as well as dozens in the 24-33 inch range.

Where all depends on what you want to catch. In my 20's through late 30's (BC before children) I did at least one trip a year, in search of everything from muskie and pike to lakers, arctic char and enormous brookies. Never had a bad trip, with many different outfitters.

Hey outdoorzman, Yeah I fish the rivers up here August-November for trout and salmon but I don't have any fishing buddies up here at school so I havn't been doing any Ice fishing. (I Don't like to Ice fish alone). I'll be fishing 25 days a month back at home come May-August though! I can't wait!!! :D
