Am I in the correct site as I have not seen a report on the Bay in a while. Is the ice still holding up? Have the Pig's started to come in?
Tom

It wouldn't hurt to have chains. I was able to go balls to the walls and didn't get stuck, my partner went slower because he tried to pull his shack behind him and was stuck often. It helped to stay in others tracks...... but who wants to go where everyone else is?

Traveling off of the bay on Sunday evening was worse than going out earlier Sunday. No major cracks to speak of.
There is a layer of ice (from the snow melt and re-freeze) on top, then 3 to 5 inches of water and then hard ice. Where the top ice was hard enough so that you could stay on top of it, things were fine. Once you bust through to the hard ice it's slow going and wet.
I'm sure things have changed since Sunday, though. Conditions change almost daily out there with the way the weather has been.
