Fished Wamplers in the AM. Fished out of canal and to the left of Jerry's pub. Started in 15 FOW and moved to 10 FOW and found some crappie. Could not get away from pike. Ended up landing 5 pike and snapped a couple under the hole. Caught the pike on chubs on tip ups and regular minnows jiggin for crappie and perch. Caught a nice sized bass off of a chub. It hit that chub and took off, the tip up spool was spinning like crazy. Fished in multiple depths from 5 - 21 FOW. Found perch late in 21 FOW around 1:30 pm. Fishing was relativley slow for all anglers out there...

Anybody else have reports or are going out in Irish Hills areas??

Will be out for evening bite at Wamplers Thursday night, will have radio on Channel 7 or 8

Fished Wamplers in pretty much same spot we ended in on Sunday. Out of canal and to the left of Jerrys Pub Found an 18 foot hole that held perch pretty much the hole time. They were constantly hitting, but had a hard time hook'n em. Did snap off twice on fish that I never seen. I would assume pike, because once that happened the screen went blank for about 5 minutes. Also managed a pig 16 inch bass..That guy has been eating healthy..quads were running on the lake so ice is still in good shape. Will be out Thursday and Saturday Evening for the night bite

Huron River Dan - The ice was every bit of 12-14 inches. My opinion, ice was in better shape Tuesday than on Sunday. No slop or break throughs of crusty top layer like on Sunday

ScottyHoover - Your asking me. I have only caught a handfull of gills out of there, and none were keepers. I have not fished the north shorline across from Jerrys Pub, which is supposed to be where the gills are usually caught. I have only fished about midway across the lake in the area where there are a couple of permanent shantys...Aren't the shnatys supposed to be taken off this past weekend? Just my thought...
