Mine is to stay warm.
No just kidding ya. This year I throw a cup or so of uncooked white rice down the hole. I dont have a flasher yet so this really helps alot to see them sneek in.
Once I see something sniffing I feather the line in my hand till its right in front of its nose and wiggle a minnow till it cant resist.

Keep a positive attitude, remember the fish are always bitting somewhere. Some days are better than others, the people that try hard and don't give up can always scrape up a few.:)

15%, Unless service is really good, then I'll go 20%...
In the words of Fishbomb - "Better to have and not need, than to need and not have." I generally relate that to keeping warm, dry and fishing...bring extra!

It may sound obvious but either get out early before sun-up and fish then or stay late until just after sundown. Sometimes the bite about 15 minutes before dark to 15 minutes after dark can be crazy.

Clip the top of the tail off of your shiner on your tip ups. Causes them to swim in circles and they cant get away from the predators seeking them.;)

If your not catching fish then move, move, move, and move some more untill you locate the fish! No sense of sitting on a non productive hole all day and come home with nothing!!!

Best fishing tip??? Thats easy,,, Michigan-Sportsman.com. I spend more time here, then I do fishing. It really pays off, to know where to go and what to do,,,,, BEFORE you head out.

you beat me to it.
But niner93 you forgot to add "If you know what I mean" at the end of your statement.
The best tip I can give is a sharp one. If its dull you won't catch the fish.

Keep your bait fresh. Don't wait untill your waxie is mush and don't stick with a lazy minnow. Now lets get back to fishing.
