How about you need and want to take out an under privleged fisherman out to ice fish Lake St Clair for those yellow bellies or out to Saginaw Bay for walleyes, Me because truthfully I havent been able to hit the ice that much due to financial troubles the last 3 months.

Here's the best excuse. Tell her you have to go out and buy an aqua view because the last time out you dropped your wedding ring down the hole. After about 4 fishing trips, run into the house and tell her you found the ring.
By the way, I've never been married. Figures.

Whatever you do, DON'T tell her your going fishing, she might think you have a girlfriend and then your in trouble.

"I'm going fishing." If she says anything - tell her that was a statement, not a question. Take a blanket and pillow though:rolleyes:

Just do what I do say I'm going fishing I will be back when I get back. My last wife thought that was funny .LOL
when I first started going with present my mate I took her ice fishing once. She says go just dont ask her to sit on the ice and fish. She goes with me for the salmon and she has even learned to fish wire line for the eyes. but draws the line at ice fishing.
I don't think anyone should need an excuse to go fishing or hunting Its not like its a matter of life and death its way more important then that.

.....Im Catholic and this week starts Lent. Catholics have to eat fish on Friday during Lent so if your Catholic, tell her you need to go catch dinner for Friday. If youre not, tell her you just converted.
If that doesnt work, be very vague. Just tell her youre going for a ride. ;) :D
