envelope next to thread?

Sorry about the dumb question guys. What is the envelope all about and how do you work it?:confused:

Bill it shows how active a thread is go to the bottom of the page and you will see some envelopes.

That's what I was going to say Mike. But I've been looking for them and they aren't there anymore. :)

There used to be a legend that showed what the different envelopes mean.

Somebody's messin' with me !;) I looked all over and I SWEAR they weren't there a while ago. I looked over several forums and they were nowhere to be found. Now they are there !

Ok, it's time for me to make an appointment with either the opthalmologist or the psychologist. Cuz I'm either blind or losing my mind. :)

Thanks guys, but what about the black dot in the middle? The legend doesn't show one like that.

I know what that is. ;) If there's a black dot in the center of the envelope, it means that you've participated in that particular thread. It makes it easier to scan through the forums and find posts that you know you've made a post in.
