Melon

Fished with BuddahBelly. Parked at Gino's and hit the ice 8am, about 1/4 mile out. Water was very cloudy / milky maybe 2 foot visability. Fishing was pretty slow, moved once and fished till 1pm, had 4 keepers 1 hog, she was 13 inches! ;) All fish taken with minnows. I heard fellow MS people (forgot their names) on the radio reporting similar luck, just an occasional fish here and there, nothing great. Had a good bite of something, started pulling it in and my line snapped! Took my lucky lure of the day, copper / gold spoon  Wasnt sure what it was.

Took my new $8 spear with me, was unable to use it. I bought a spear head at Meijer and my bro welded a nice 4 foot piece of pipe on it for a handle. Im dying to use it. Maybe next time.

Nice jumbo Mike! Unfortunately I had to take a shower to get that smell off me! Good fun though. You were due! Windy as hell out there!:(

Rick C, Huron River Dan, MiketheElder(Big Mike), Coho, all had our radios on, and all had long days. I brought home six fish, one hog, three keepers, two dinks. Lost a lure my son gave me for Chrisymas. A purple ant with a minnow was taken by something big and probably toothy. I hate when that happens. At least let me see what it was!
Had a couple of other big bites but missed them. Saw people catching fish around me all day but it didn't look like there were many big ones.
Back out Sunday. Give me a shout (Big Mike or MiketheElder)
I say, "I think I'm going to buy a boat to go fishing. I miss not having a boat."
She says, "You lied to me. You said you were all done with boats, blah, blah, blah, blah,......."
I said, "Keep bitchin'. I was only gonna spend a couple thousand, but the more you bitch, the bigger it gets."
moral of the story. $17,000 is a lot of bitchin'. If a man says something he better mean it. Next is a four-wheel ATV. Should be a good fight.

Nice fish Melon, but I really need to know what you caught the Canadian beer on. Out at Metro on Thursday and picked up a handfull of nice perch on minnows, three to be precise, but the largest was 12 inches with a 9 inch girth, fattest perch I've ever seen.
