Fished the shallow bay south of the Clinton River on Wednesday evening. Used a five o' diamonds Daredevle with the hooks removed to attract some fish. Surprise! Surprise! Three largemouth bass showed up in my hole. Wouldn't you know it, the smallest one inhaled my jig and minnow. They sure were staring at that yellow daredevle with the five red diamonds.

Also caught one perch about 10". Strange looking perch. It looked as if a female had dropped her eggs already and the belly was sunken in.

Any other decoy jiggers out there. I'm dying to here what "Ice Fishin' Nut" has up his sleeve.

She said "You told me you were through with boats".
I said "Keep bitchin', the boat's getting bigger"

i dont use a decoy, but i do use a mudder....its three big colorado blades tied on a line (like walleye harness blades but bigger), spaced about 4" apart, starting about 4" above a 3oz triangular sinker

if i dont see any perch for a while, ill put that down there and jig it up and down for about a minute....it will flash like crazy and kick up a big cloud of mud

perch are very curious, and they will either come in to see what the flash is, or whats kicking up the mud

it works pretty good, especially when the action is slow

I use a very realistic perch decoy to attract perch. It works great.

Never tried it, but since the Michigan Outdoors spot with Treeman, I've been looking for one. Professional is sold out and Lakeside only offers one and it's not very nice. Gotta get to Archer's and Angler's and hope they still have a couple!!

I got one at Gander Mountain.....in Flint. ;)

Used it a few times today. Not sure if it brought them in or not. I need a camera.....or I need to follow higherpowered everywhere.
