It has had little or no effect on it. With the rain it will still be fine, but wear your creepers.

The snow around here has been packed melted and refroze. But still with the ice I seen wednesday, there will be ice for awhile. They will still have trucks out there tomorrow.

Ice should be fine on lakes, it is rivers with fast moving currents you have to worry about (like the Saginaw). The current melts the ice from the bottom so you can not tell by just looking at it.

You'll be fine tomorrow. I was out at Selfridge today and there was atleast 14" of ice. Plenty of water on the ice so wear waterproof boots.

Wife bought me a pair of the neoprene knee high boots last year looks like I'll use them for more than hunting. They are a lot warmer than the regular rubber knee high boots and a lot lighter. Going to give it a try maybe out by mud creek, but be safe guys wear your ice creepers. Slick ice will be your main worry instead of the ice thickness of the lakes. BAYDOG
