Started at Meldrum Rd. at 8 am. Heard it was fantastic yesterday. Only got 10 fish in 2 1/2 hours with 5 keepers. And those 5 were only 8-8 1/2". Never saw anything bigger in the holes...
Then set up 1/2 mi out from Buds. Got very few and had very few come in to the hole...
Then went to the back basin at Metro and in 3 hours got 25 from 8-11" and one over 12". Also got a crappie and saw two other guys get a few crappie too. The two the one guy had were 14". Could be a potential night spot. And the park's hours are posted from 6 am to 9 pm...

Sounds like I may have to leave the warm house and go to Metro.

Danger and I went out by Nelsons in Fair Haven and it was dead,,,3 fish and not to big,,,seen very few and most of them had lock-jaw,,,,We did however meet Walley Mike out there we had a nice BS but I don't think he faired much better,,,
We did manage to move Fast Ed's Shantie to a new spot,,boy was that fun:rolleyes: ,,,,then after that we decided that we had not had enough fun so went over by Bud's and moved Shortcat's shantie not much more fun but it did go a bit better than the Fast Ed move,,,,after we moved the other shantie we fished for a short while and found that there are no fish by Buds either!,,,just seems to be slow everywhere

Pretty much a wiggler bite but as I was leaving (4:30) they were starting to bite minnows...

You heard right about the bite at Meldrum on tuesday it was awesome....but on wednesday it was zilch.....today I went to New Baltimore at the foot of Main Street and had a beautiful day on the hard water with zero fish. Walked all the way to the point northward.....zilch there too. The top of the ice is getting soft already and theres only 12 inches there too......two kids coming off the ice at 2 pm told me they had 15 nice ones but they would only hit minnows, and only a few small schools came by in the am..
