Pmtiny and I went out to LSC @ Crocker. Decided on trying to make an early start and was greeted by this sunrise.

Started out on the outside of the pack toward the deeper water. By 10:30 AM we only had a few perch in the bucket. It was slow going so we thought maybe a new location would help. We headed in and decided to give it a try closer to shore. We set up just inside the pack. The water seemed a little clearer and it was about a foot shallower than where we were earlier. The bottom was clearly visible and it wasn't long before the perch started to show up. Unlike the deeper water, where all we got were jumbos, the perch closer in were a mixed bag of dinks and jumbos. Some shot in and hit aggressivly while others just cruised by slowly and ignored our baits.
A couple of pmtiny's perch.

My biggest two.

The one in my left hand (the right side of the pic;) ) didn't make 13 inches but it weighed 1 lb on the nose.
We called it a day around 2:30 and ended up with 16 keepers and threw back about a half dozen. Most of the fish hit a minnow on a bare hook about a foot off the bottom. The biggest one hit a Jenson anise bead on a chartreuse tear drop.
