I dump mine in the kitchen sink and then fillet and skin them right there. The wife wouldnt even think of puttin up an argument and after 17 years it wouldnt do any good if she did. :)

I clean mine downstairs on an old card table covered with newspaper. I have a 5 gallon bucket lined with a garbage bag on the table, and toss away entrails as I clean, then dump the newpaper in the bucket (bag). Then take the entire thing outside, tie a knot, and toss the bag in the dumpster, works pretty good.

If you think your wife gets mad at cleaning fish in the kitchen, you shouldve seen the boner I pulled tonight! I was in the process of sorting out my bad waxies on the kitchen island (while she was gone) and I went downstairs to get something. Meanwhile I got distracted and the little bugger crawled off the paper plate all over the darn place. Then she came home.........

Big cutting board built into an island in the kitchen. All the girls insist on watching, so that island is typically surrounded by chairs for them to stand on :)

Wife hates fish, and guts of fish so I do the cooking and scrubbing down afterwards.

I clean my perch and eyes in the kitchen sink double bag the skin guts and bones in plastic supermarket bags, freeze them then put them out on trash day
I wash up everthing with bleach water and bag and freeze the fish .I also cook the fish most of the time but she will and does cook them some times.
No problem I tried to get my old lady to do the fish cleaning but she draws the line at helping process the deer in the kitchen.
no fish cleaning for her. Im not sure I want to teach her how to use a very sharp thin bladed knife. LOL

Willie I think the question is Where does you wife let you clean your fish. Shed in the back yard?

I have a heated garage,I clean them there with cable tv and all. But after 20 years If Its cold and no propaine . I'll clean them in the kitchen (with lots of cardboard) The funny thing is,its not a mess. no more than cutting up a chicken ect. clean your mess after.

Kitchen would be pushing it. She is very good about my fish and game cleaning and enjoys most things I bring home. In the winter or late night its usually done on the washer next to the laundry tub. Lots of nice smelling cleaners afterwards.

Welcome aboard, Got Time!

I do most of mine in the basement on top of the washing machine, but I put down a bunch of old newspapers and so far...nobody has complained.

Sometimes, if I catch larger fish like salmon or the last steelhead I kept, I'll take them to where I work and clean them. Cleaning fish is a breeze when you have the keys to a professional kitchen. Cooking them on site is just as easy, and the full bar on the other side of the dining room makes it even better.

Sorry guys...had to brag a little.:D

Out in the garage on an old countertop from when we remodeled the kitchen. 2 cutting boards, 1 for the electric fillet knife guy and 1 for the ribcage remover guy. entrails go into a bucket lined with plastic bag, freeze until trash day same as eyecatcher.

In the basement. I cut a piece of plywood that covers about 2/3 of the utility tub so I can still use the water, nailed a couple pieces of 2x2 on the bottom to keep it from moving, 2 small nails to hold a plastic bag on the side and a cheap clamp on light to the rafter overhead.

In the kitchen on the counter top island while sitting on a bar stool. It makes the job a lot easier. The left overs go with me to work the next day and get tossed in the company dumpster.

I clean mine next to the kitchen sink on a piece of counter top I have. It was the piece from the hole where a sink went in. My buddies a plumber so he was able to get me and some other friends one. It works well and cleans up easy plus it keeps the fish off of my own counter top.

My wife loves fish and lets me clean my fish any where I want.........In the garage on the work bench. She does let me rinse them off in her sink though. Left overs go in a garbage bag tied tight for trash pick-up on Tues.

During the warm monthes, I put down the tail gate of my truck and clean outside, this time of year I use the kitchen sink and counter with news paper or the card board from a case of beer.

I was willing to clean the fish outside during winter monthes, and one day she just out of the clear blue said, clean em in the kitchen

The only thing my wife has an issue with is storing bait (wigglers, spikes, worms etc) in the refridgerater door especially the wigglers.

IN THE LAUNDRY TUB, ON MY ANTIBACTERIAL CLEANING BOARD WITH A NOSE/TAIL CLIP. ALL THE GUTS/SKINS GO IN A BUCKET LINED WITH A WALMART BAG THEN TIED & DISCARDED IN THE DESIGNATED FISH GARBAGE CAN WITH THE LOCK DOWN LID THAT IS KEPT IN THE GARAGE.

THE GARBAGE CAN CAN NO LONGER STAY OUTSIDE BECAUSE THE STRAGGLEY DOG DOWN THE STREET HAS FIGURED OUT HOW TO KNOCK THE CAN OVER GET THE LOCK DOWN LID OFF AND DIG THE FISH GUTS OUT.

THE GARBAGE MAN EVEN CHECKED LAST WEEK TO SEE WHY THE CAN WAS SO HEAVY, HE PULLED ONE OF THE WALMART BAGS OUT AND LOOKED INSIDE OF IT TO SEE WHAT IT WAS. LOL. I FOUND THAT TO BE VERY FUNNY.

I pull mine One at a time out of the five gallon bucket and fillet them on the kitchen Island and throw the end trails in a doubled garbage or grocery bag...when finished I make sure everything is cleaned spotless and throw the bag of trails in the back of my truck so I can throw it in the garbage at work the following day!!
