Last week I talked to a lady in the sporting goods dept at my local Meijers(Jenison). I told her that last year Meijer got rid of their shanties for $99.99 at the end of the season. I asked her if she could take my name and give me a call if they went down to that price. She said 'sure!'. They had 1 dx3000 and 3 s3000s

Well she called today. Said that another Meijer (in Holland) was selling them for $99, so she would hold one for me for that price too. My wife took the call while I was at work, and said OK. Told me when I got home. She assumed I wanted only one. Crap!! I called my 'contact' and she said that they all went really fast once they lowered the price, but she saved one for me. I really wanted the dx, but I'm happy with the S3000 for that price. Would have taken all of them, but o well.
I called the Holland store and they didn't know what I was talking about. Said theirs' are $159. Checked a few other Meijers in the GR area and the ones that have any left still have them for $159 also. Not quite sure what to think about all that, but, hey, I got mine for half off! Maybe the rest will lower theirs tomorrow??

Got the same exact deal last year... We convinced the Big Rapids Meijer store to give us the $99.99 deal because the Grand Rapids area stores were doing it. however, when we tried to talk Cadillac and some other stores into the deal they said no way. They said they are free to establish their own clearance deals based on geography. Apparently the further North you go, the longer they figure winter lasts, so they don't feel obligated to post clearance prices.
