Just got back from the north channel, no walleyes!! Saw six other boats. A couple were handlining and a few chugging. Tried upsteam from Deckers and downstream. Only two smallmouths (1 and a 2.75lbs.) One boat said they had one but knowbody else. Blue water bait in fair haven has great emeralds(3-4").

Anyone else been fishing---give us an report.

The report is good fishing from St. Clair Edison plant to Algonac state park. Fishing with 5/8 oz jigs on the first shelf out of the channel. I'm going to St. Clair tomorrow night. Will give report.

Fished from Edison Plant down to Marine City launch site today with very poor results, just like yesterday. In fact, we have fished the river from shore quite hard since February, and perhaps six times since March by boat. Out total catch has been 4 or 5 small (18 to 20 inch) cohos, one 12 pound coho, and a couple of pike we caught near Decker's Landing. We have jigged, trolled (with and without downriggers), chugged, handlined, bottom-bounced and still fished with crawlers and minnows. Fishing has been terrible for us! The thing that bothers me most is that we have not caught any perch, rockbass, silver bass, sheepshead, or anything else except for one goby. The water temp today was 45 degrees. I think that's the big problem: the water is too cold. On the other hand, maybe we are just lousey fishermen, or are under some sort of a curse. Please comment on our poor results.
