The clear plastic bill on one of my favorite crankbaits broke last weekend. Any ideas how to fix it? The line is tied to a post there and, while holding, might break off.

A few years back I used to send my Rapals back and they would replace them for free...I also sent a letter of appreciation along .
I am not sure how other companies operate but I would try that or at least give them a call

Last year I contacted Rapala and asked about the same thing, they said I could seed the broken bait back and that they would replace it. Replace my favorite crankbait!!! I don't think so, so they sent me extra lips to replace myself. A much better idea and no charge. :D
Hope this helps you out good luck on the water.

You can purchase repacement bills for crankbaits from Jann's netcraft. They carry a large assortment of lure making parts along with rod blanks, spinner kits etc. Any time I need a part for a lure or anything to do with repairing equipment this is the first place I check. Their phone number is 1-800-NETCRAFT & their web site is www.jannsnetcraft.com

Here's what the folks at Rapala told me... not particularly satisfying reply...
Sid: It is not possible to replace the lips. Sorry!
Thank you for your inquiry - your feedback is important to us.
