Well, I'm happy to say the fishing has finally picked up and picked up big time! (at least in Allegan county)
I went out for 2 1/2 hrs and limited on gills and one nice fat perch. I also caught several fish that look like a rock bass but dont have red eyes (kinda a cross between a gill and largemouth bass)
And to top it off, I also caught 5 largemouth bass!

Every fish I marked I got to bite. Heck alot of times as I was lowering my bait, the Vex showed the fish come up and grab it before it made it all the way down to them.
I only used one pole and the fish where in 12 ft of water.

I also had several nice size fish on that got off on the way up.

Tomorrow I will try another lake to see what happens.

Man I knew today was good, first day in 3 weeks the barometer was below 30. and the wind was heading east.

I hope tomorrow spares us some even lower pressure ;)

those are called warmouth bass/perch, or mud bass. Calico's are the same as crappies.:)

Yup, I knew they were warmouth, couldn't think of that one, I thought they were also called calico's but come to think of it I was corrected on that here last year.
