higgins help please

Heading to higgins on thursday and friday looking for smelt and perch and possibly trout. Any advice or help with location would be appreciated. Walking out with the shanty. Thanks Justin

As ar as smelt, go to the DNR west boat ramp and look for the people, it's not to far of a walk. Perch spots is another story, there might me a long walk. They have a lot of snow up there this year and walking is hard. You will need to stay on the packed down trails. Perch, just look for the groupes of people and fish around them, also move as often as you can if you are not getting any thing. Good luck.
