hooked up with scottyhoover and wild bill tonite to give the elusive crappie a piece of our mind!:D scottyhoover and i started out alone on a small pond and in 2 hours picked up near 10 gills scotty bringing the most. hole hopping was the key. a fellow fisherman mentioned to scotty he had been out all day and managed 6 between two guys.....

near dark we packed up and hit another nearby lake for some nite time crappie action. the wind really picked up and made hole hopping much more difficult but the fish were there for scotty and bill at least....... . i had a miserable nite with the specs and only landed one!!! scotty and bill managed a dozen or so a piece, using two totally different setups. fish were active but we couldnt stay on the school unless we ventured out into the hurricane force winds!

YPSI: great now I'll never hear the end of the red-eye jokes.

Seriously good day fishing, aside from the lack of a walleye it was very good. Thanks to bill for providing the tip about the hot crappie bite. I was on the ice for at least 11 hours today on 3 different waters. I was on fire with the crappie tonight just caught more 8 inch throwbacks than keepers. super neon glow jammin jigs were good as always, as was a Orange Forage Minnow. The nice big gills fell to a glow shrimpo.

We also proved something about scent on your hands while fishing. Fish prefer Bold and Spicy Chex mix over cheddar chex. This was very clear, right Ozzgood.
