Fished Sat. and Sun. north of Cotton Rd. with lousy results.Met up with Mihunter(Lonnie) Sat. fished out 3/4 mile seen few dinks so we moved and got a few nice fish in close.Other guys in our group did better than me and Lonnie, oh well. Sun. fished closer to the Salt river and had a good AM bite then nothing. Fish are just not there compared to last weekend but still seen plenty of hogs(no spear). Weather was fantastic on Sunday as was Jumbo's walleye cheek chowder! Fishing Gino's next weekend regardless.Hope to see some promising reports during the week. PS, don't catch em all Ed M! :D AL

Thanks again, I had a great time even if the fishing wasn't the best. Just seeing those jumbos down the hole has me hooked.
Good group of guys you have there!

Lonnie, glad you enjoyed the trip and the cast of characters that I always hunt/fish with. Next Sunday is the MS.com outing, it looks like Crocker Rd. is the place. If you are going we can meet up in the AM for breakfast. I also will need a hand unloading the snowmobile from the truck, T-Bone is taking the trailer to Oscoda this weekend. Sure beats walking Eh? Give a call during the week and we will take it from there. Take care :D AL

Stay in close. I have been fishing in 4 - 5 feet of water. I have only been out twice. The first time was Martin Luther King Jr. day. My son and I ended up with 100 excellent size perch. Last Saturday we went out again. Everyone was fishing pretty far out. We were the only ones in close and we caught 75 decent perch. I will be out again on Anchor Bay this weekend. My guess, with the rain we are getting today the fish will move in even closer. <----<<<

Joe thanks for the info, we did move several times, each time closer in and seen fish as soon as we cleared our holes, had a lot of lookers and a few takers, slow to say the least. Two weekend ago we did real well in the same area but I think the pike and muskies had the perch scattered. Caught a big largemouth and Jumbo lost a big pike right at dusk. Take care and see ya on Sunday at Gino's. ~~~~~~~~~~~><> AL
