Hooked up with a buddy over at the launch in Fairhaven at first light on Sunday morning. We treked out to our usual spot and found a few biters right off the bat. By 9:00am, the fish were gone, so off we went in search of the pod. We drilled ALOT of holes and no I don't have a gas auger. I don't think you realize how thick the ice is until you have to drill all those holes by hand. LOTS OF ICE! Anyway, we moved a few times but never could find the fish or the weedline. Lots of folks out having a good time this weekend. Everyone that we spoke with had about the same success as us....not much. Also, we did see a few fish, but not much for size. Are the "hogs" still in this area do you think or have they moved out somewhere else?
