Met up today with nine guys total. Started in front of Geno's. Right by ed's spot. Ended up with 5 in 1 hr. Went out deeper about 1 more mile out. Nobody had a hit. Motored over to Metro. Clear view of bottom, no hits, and no fish seen. Packed it up and moved to selfridge. Started in 4 fow in front of Mac Rays. Only saw 3 bass. Moved out towards the pressure crack, and saw no fish. They either must be bunched up in a small area, or not on the move. Between nine guys, no perch were even seen.

Why did you move, teal??? I got 6 in the first hour,, then all H!LL broke lose! The first 6 were all 13"ers,,, just flat out TOADS!

we werent out as far as u guys i dont think if we are all talkin about "the spot"..... we were a couple hundred yards in and a little north i think of u guys and we did really good most of the mornin, we had to leave at noon but was still gettin fish occasionally , the first hour was really good though... will be out around same area in the mornin...

I couldn't get out until 9 am. :( sounds like I missed a good morn. bite. Did more socializing today than moving . I ended up with only 8. Tin-can got 5 to 9 fish and my neighbor 7 to 8 fish. Good talking with all of you on Chl. 7

I have no idea who had there radio stuck on voice mode or just had the transmit button pushed? But it killed the heck out of my bats. Just a word cuz The guy probalby dosent' know he was in transmit mode.

two quick notes...yea...I don't know who did that to our radios but it totallysucked...
and number two...I got multiple reports from friends on Anchor Bay Drive that the fish were there about 1/2 mile out. That puts it considerably south, and then a bit east of the Fair Haven DNR launch. An on a separate note, if you're gonna go that way, the bait dealer/fishing reel repair guy/bow hunting guy on 23 Mile E of I-94 gives you a bigger count on fish and wigglers than anyone I've seen anywhere. If you're going to fish in that direction and its on your way you're missing out on a terribile opportunity if you don't get your bait from him. I think its something like ACO tackle on the south side of 23 Mile about a mile east of Ii-94. He charges 3 bucks a scoop for minnows and uses a big net......blows of Selfridge BIG TIME!!!!!

I was out there as well and didn't even catch a perch. Fished outside the pack and even went as far out as the crack without a bite. I will give it one last try on Thursday.

NeverSunk.....thanks for the heads up, I'll keep that in mind. I only ended up with 9 yesterday (2/1) for all day. I lost 3 hogs and let a couple 8-9 inchers go but the ones I took were pigs. I'll be out again 2/2 early morning planning to stay all day. Hope to hear from you guys again on "7". Good luck to you all !!!! ;)

I only got 5 medium size on sunday. Too bad...what a beautiful day to be on the ice huh? I got those near the pressure crack nearest to shore and considerably south of the pack, and they came on minnows. It was a perch grass type of bed area...but still deeper than I woul'dve though at about 9 feet. Musta thrown back 20 small ones though....but it was nice out there. I gotta work tuesday am....so wont be out till wednesday and might have to work the morning...dunno yet (its one of those part time "pager" jobs). Kinda nice to sleep in if it doesnt go off...but makes it impossible to plan on fishing at the crack of dawn in case they page you in. Good talking to ya...hope to be out for the afternoon bite wednesday for sure... Glenn

DECIDED TO SWITCH GEARS TODAY, I WENT TO FAIR HAVEN. I FISHED WITH SUPER PAUL, MANAGED TO PULL 25 KEEPERS ALL 9'S. FISHED BEHIND JIGGERS ABOUT A MILE OUT, USED A SPOON TIPPED WITH A MINNOW HEAD, ROLLED OUT OF THERE AROUND 4:30. I PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE STAYED UNTIL DARK BUT PAUL HAD TO LEAVE.

MUDPUPPY THE NAME MING MING CAME FROM SOME OLD BUDS THAT GAVE ME THAT ON THE ACCOUNT THAT I LOVE CHINESE FOOD. EVERY TIME WE WENT TO CANADA I EAT THE STUFF EVERY DAY.

I WILL KNOW LONGER BE USING THE NAME MING MING, I WILL BE USING THE STRINGER FOR MY SCREEN NAME.
