Fair Haven AM 01-31-04

Set-up with the spearing shanty about 7:45am and before I could even sit down to set lines and decoys I had fish in the hole. Up high about 1ft below the ice. Didn't even have the spear tied off and I plunked my first fish with the spear for the year. Got situated, droped lines tiped with mins and the schools started commin from everywhere. Bottom was real nice too, lot's of weeds. Gsepan, IFN, and G's buddy Dan where out and had fish also. I drove out so I went as fare East and South as I could and was prity much the furthest shanty out away from the big pack of perminit shantys. Strait out and to the left from Munchies Bay. Was well worth the drive. Ended up with 21. The picture is just a few of the nicer fish. Gsepan and IFN moved out to me at around 11ish and stayed for the evening bite which never took off. So we drank lot's of pop's that Dan and IFN supplied and eat some great pizza from the party store up the street from the launch. Good day on the pond, thanks G & IFN. Hope to see all of you guy's at the outing.

Good job Jeff. I was wondering how you did. Were the perch on the bite or were most force fed.

Early morning the bite was on. I didn't even have much time to decide if I should spear-um or let them take the min. The fish decided that for me up until about 10ish or so then it slowed. Right about the time IFN & gsepan got out there. :D

Not hold my hand,,,,,, just lead me to them!!!!!! Especially if you want your fancy expensive sunglasses back!!!!!! They must have fallen out of your pocket, and were laying in the snow under the tree!!!!!!

I got a hot tip from our old buddy Geno, AKA Ed Michrina I'm going to check out tomorrow, you interested? You'll have-ta go pull out your shanty from storage because this trip will require some mobility.
