Thanks for the info on the weedbed ED, we did pretty good. We lost a Walleye and 2 jumbo's at the hole. We mangaed to land 4 Nice Jumbo's. I have a Pict but cannot not Post it yet. Started at 6:30 a.m. with minnows ofr most of the fish did catch one jumbo at 10:30 with a wiggler.

I was out there also. We had an Aqua-view with us and saw about 10 walleye and 10 perch, plus 4 suckers. We managed 1 eye (3.5lbs) and 3 perch (9-11"). Probably would have never caught the eye without the camera, since he took in the minnow and my friend's wimpy rod didn't flinch. We tried jigging aggressively, letting the bait sit and different lures but could not get the walleye's to bite. Half the perch that came in went after the bait, the other half weren't interested. Very interesing to watch that Aqua-view. Did anybody see the guys that were WAY OUT by the ice jam, approximately 2.5 miles from shore?

I went 1/ 2way to the ice jam nothing, moved alot It was a slow am. Found a hole close to my mark and hit 26 HOGS. the largest on the tape was 14 1/4 . I think I got one bigger . only 3 --9's the rest were 11 and better . I will try to post photos .. most bit from 1230 to 340 pm . They wanted a active minnow on a large sweedish pimp not jigged. the minnow was only good for 10 min. or so. then change. I had to leave with them biting. o well keep the wife happy.

Good job again Ed !! I moved around quit a bit ended up with 8 nice ones but had to work hard for those!! Ended up catching most more over torwards metro ! will be heading out tomorrow a little earlier..I have minnows left over so will try to get out like 6:00 or 6:30 out from Genos! I will head out of metro with the 3-wheeler and drive over to genos.

OK there was almost a lynching at the parking lot with ED as the Lynch-e. But Honest guys they are there. I got all with in .10 of a mile of my mark. Another hr. and I would have had 40 to limit. Ended up with 26. After photos 2 were under my seat. oooops. I also lost 2 riight at the hole and had anothere 8 on the hook lost. Thats fishing? Fun day. There were a few more people out than a few days ago. It would have happened anyway I was just hoping the M.S. soprtsman people would get a crack at them .

I've seen some of the survival suits/jackets on e-bay before. Hey Ed, if you really want to prove your abililities, take me. If you still catch fish.....your the master! :p signed: the ice fishing jinx! :)

LOL.. nah, i am gonna be at genos in the mornin, wanna bet no one catches fish tomorrow... :( will be in the parkin lot hopefully by 630, 7 at the latest... anyone wanna make the walk out let me know... thanks

Nice catch Ed. Nice to hear they're hitting a little more in the afternoon today. I noticed it was mostly sunny all day long today, maybe that has a little to do with it. :rolleyes:

That's probably why its called fishing and not catching. ;)

Anyway, I'm heading out early in the morning to give it a whirl. If I see you out there I'll stop over and say hi. I ride a red 3 wheeler with 3 milk crates mounted on back and towing a black shanty with orange trim. I'll be on chnl 7 also. I'm hoping since the temp is supposed to get higher tomorrow that might make 'em pop. We'll see....... :p

lol.. hope ya know i was jokin Ed... i was out there today and holy S*^@!!!!!!! i dont think i will every fish brandenburgs or selfridge again..lol i have never caught perch that big anyplace, i will be headin out again in the mornin to try to get a few more and maybe an eye....

Its only 2 or 3 miles South. There is a bait store/party store at jefferson south of 16 mile. good minnows. Good luck
